DON’T BREAK THE SHIELD

A pride of lions, a pack of wolves, an army of soldiers, they are all dreaded when they operate collaboratively. They don’t all play the same roles in their team, but they have the same goal which is to win, and unless there’s a traitor amongst them, they are almost undefeatable. There is a dimension of strength that is only revealed in togetherness. Notable progress can only be made when we move as one.

Friends don’t feel pain when they go through a punishment together, therefore the forces that unite us must be stronger than the factors that divide us. We were amalgamated to form a country, but we must be united to win as a nation. Our diversity is the configuration behind our strength and prosperity. Each individual or entity within is just a player on the global field with unique skills and abilities, tasked with the responsibility of scoring the goal, and regardless of who scores, the team (Nigeria) celebrates.

Fueling actions that foster strife and disunity will only be puncturing a loophole for destruction; you can’t destroy your shield and still expect it to protect you. End the sentiments, stop tribalism, and grant room for all ethnic groups to thrive. People being single or unemployed simply because of their ethnicity is just absurd. It is possible to speak with one voice and overcome the vilest tempests. We can make this work, yes “we” and not “they” because you are involved. We can live as the people, and not just a people of Nigeria.
